The Troup County of tomorrow will be shaped by the way we invest in our kids today.

Open the door to great futures...open the door to a brand new Boys & Girls Club in Troup County.

About this project...

Troup County faces serious challenges—from declining academic outcomes and health disparities to workforce readiness gaps and poverty rates above state and national averages. At the same time, governmental safety net programs that support children are being slashed.

But one thing hasn’t changed: the potential of our kids.

Every young person has promise and potential, but kids today are facing issues like never before.

Today's Challenge

Troup County faces serious challenges—from declining academic outcomes and health disparities to workforce readiness gaps and poverty rates above state and national averages. At the same time, governmental safety net programs that support children are being slashed.

But one thing hasn’t changed: the potential of our kids.

Every young person has promise and potential, but kids today are facing issues like never before.

The Boy's & Girls Clubs Difference

The Boys & Girls Club has a history and track record of building great futures for kids and communities.

We help young people develop the building blocks needed for positive cognitive, social, emotional and physical development so they can thrive and be resilient.

Our “Formula for Impact” aims to provide youth and teens with a high-quality club experience so they will develop essential skills and achieve positive outcomes in four priority areas:

Academic Success | Health & Well-Being | Character & Leadership | Life & Workforce Readiness

Tomorrow's Possibilities

Strong kids build strong and safe communities.

The plan is simple, with your help, we will open a professionally-managed Boys & Girls Club in Troup County.

  • The initial Club will operate under a lease from the County at the old Whitesville Road Elementary School in the center of the new sports complex being built.
  • The 87-year old Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley in Columbus will manage and train all staff and oversee daily operations, in conjunction with a local Advisory Board of community leaders.
  • Initial plans anticipate starting with 40 children ages 6 – 12 but growing to more than 100 within three years.
