Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Boys & Girls Clubs! Volunteers are a vital part of our team and can bring a positive experience to many our youth. There are many ways you can donate your time and make a difference!

We offer three types of volunteer opportunities:

  • General Club Volunteers

    General Volunteer Service Hours

We value our high school and college age volunteers! If need need volunteer hours for your club or organization, we make it easy to track your time while helping us out in a BIG WAY. As a VOLUNTEER, you’ll be assigned to a program area within the Club where you’ll lend a hand to a staff member as they lead the group through the planned activities for that day. Our program areas include art, reading, STEM, recreation, and fitness, to name a few. If you're there during Power Hour, you’ll spend time helping kids with homework and helping them understand the school work they’ve been assigned that day.

  • Corporate & Event Volunteers

Corporate Group Volunteering is ideal for companies, organizations and schools that would like to participate in one or more special activities at our Clubs. This is an excellent way to incorporate team building and boost morale while providing an immediate benefit to the youth served by Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley. We can help you design and execute a customized project that aligns your company’s interests and values while fulfilling a need at a Club. Examples include Scrub-A-Club, where a group performs small renovation projects such as painting and building furniture; and Adopt-A-Club, where a company can sponsor a holiday party or back-to-school drive.

If your company would like to schedule a large group project, please contact Larry Underwood:

  • Tutoring, Mentoring, and Support Volunteers

As a TUTORING & ACTIVITY SUPPORT VOLUNTEER, you’ll be assigned to a program area within the Club where you’ll lend a hand to a staff member as they lead the group through the planned activities for that day. Our program areas include art, reading, STEM, recreation, and fitness, to name a few. If you're there during Power Hour, you’ll spend time helping kids with homework and helping them understand the school work they’ve been assigned that day.

    Volunteer Mentoring

As a VOLUNTEER MENTOR, you’ll meet with a particular Club member (your mentee) for at least 1 hour per month for the duration of 1 year. You’ll develop a one-on-one relationship with that Club member while serving as a positive role model, friend, listener, and guide.
